It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman Earle Hallendy of Carp, Ontario, born in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Hallendy and Michael Hallendy. He is survived by: his wife Diana Cousens; his daughter Angela Hallendy (Gilbert Maloney); his grandson Nicholas Roy (Olivia O'Sullivan); his daughter Andrea Hallendy-Mallon (Karl Mallon); his grandson Cayden Yooeun Mallon; his sister-in-law Muriel Cousens; his niece Cheryl Davidson (James); his great-nieces, Sydney and Emily; his nephew David Cousens; and his sister Delores Smith (Terry).
His contribution to geographical knowledge through documenting Arctic landscapes and ancient sites earned him the coveted Mungo Park Medal from the Royal Scottish Geographical Society in 2007.
