He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Jones and Catherine Jones of Carlisle; his parents-in-law, Cathy and Casey Hooper; and his nephew Trent Davidson.

He is survived by: his wife Helena Hooper Jones of Carlisle; his children, Danielle Wright of St. Thomas, Samantha, Brian Murphy of St. Thomas and TJ Wright of London; his grandchildren, Austin, Colton Wright, Hailey Russell, Joshua Simoes, Trent and Troy Wright; his sister Liz; his sibling-in-law Glen Stewart of Carlisle; and his siblings, Ken (late Jane) of London, Andrew (Barb Davies), Sophia (Dave Matthews) and John Hooper of London.
