He was predeceased by: his significant other Jean Elizabeth (Hudson); his parents, Alexander McCuan and Lena McCuan (Hawkins); and his siblings, Margaret Heintzman (Garnet) and Daniel.

He is survived by: his children, Susan McCuan-Harron, Barbara McCuan-Mittler (Jay), Brian (Pat) and Kevin; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Connor), Timothy (Hayley), June (John), Ben (Kayla), Greg (Krystal), Paul (Chantal) and Stephanie (Aaron); and his great grandchildren, Philippe, Genevieve and Colette. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
