She was predeceased by: her parent T. J. Wells of Lennoxville, Quebec.. She is survived by: her sister Lois Hunting of Sterling; her significant other David; her children, Jeff (Annick), Stephen (Christy), Colin (Kim), Nancy and Tom; her grandchildren, Nicolette, McKenna, Christopher, Carolyn, Anna, Jessica, Grant, Danielle, Kurtis, Sandra and Darby; and her great grandchildren, Ryan, Nicholas, Isabelle and Melissa.

Memorial donations may be made in Phyllis' name to the Ottawa Hospital (Civic Campus), the Ottawa Humane Society or the Ruddy Shenkman Hospice.
