He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Freidrich and Lydia Erma Anni; and his brother Helmut. He is survived by: his wife Christa Margrit Heitmann (Borneman); his children, Torsten Karlheinz Dekart (Sharon) and Kerstin Annemarie Dekart (Michael Noonan); and his niece Christine Hahnekop (Heitmann).
