He was predeceased by: his parents, Ozzie Hastie and Norma Hastie; and his brother Gerald. He is survived by: his wife Rena; his children, Angie Hastie (Gary Leach) and Lynn Card (Shaun Card); his brother Stanley Hastie (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Kristen Jardine (Ryan), Taryn Card (Schuyleur Seccaspina), Dylan Card (Naiara Pedro Tatay) and Mitchell Brydges (Maddie Symington); and his great grandchildren, Tenley, Elia, Avery, Emmerson, Hudson, Oliver and Dayami.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Lung Association, would be appreciated.
