She was predeceased by: her husband Donnie Lay; her parents, Lena McCollough and James Banning; and her siblings, Mildred Waters, Verna McGregor, Lorne Banning and Bob Banning.

She is survived by: her children, Kim Lay, Roy Lay (Eileen) and Ann (Ray); her grandchildren, Kevin (Tracy), Cindy (Shane), Jo-ann (Ian) and Jeremy (Colleen); her great grandchildren, Hailee, Grace, Brayden, Brooke, Hailie, Kaitlin, Sheradan and Ethan; and her great great grandchild Taison. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
