She was predeceased by: her husband Barry Sharpley; her parents, Oscar Nitschke and Louise Nitschke; her stepdaughters, Debbie Longchamps and Donna Simpson; and her son-in-law Myles Simpson.
She is survived by: her children, Trevor Sharpley (Lise Belaire) of St. Albert and Louise Sharpley of Cardinal; her stepdaughters, Darlene Sharpley (Ken Crerar) of Greely and Robyn Boyd (Steve) of Osgoode; her siblings, Helen Sharpley of Barrhaven, Grace Kelly of Findlay Creek, Ron Nitschke of Gatineau and Eileen Grimes (Greg) of Ottawa; and her son-in-law Marc Longchamps of Cornwall. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral Arrangements Due to the Coronavirus restrictions a celebration of Ruth's life will be held at a later date.
