He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Steele and Dolores Steele; his brother Danny Steele; and his parents-in-law, Coburn and Betty Walter.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Anne Steele; his sons, Leonard Jr. and David; and his siblings-in-law, Bill "Cobe" Walter (Debbie) of Cardinal, Judy Summerfield (Toby) of Cardinal, Donnie Walter (Dave) of Cardinal, Diana Walter of Cardinal and Jay Kinsman (Craig) of Brockville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
