He was predeceased by: his parents, George Burchell and Claudine Burchell; and his siblings, Bill, Sarah Sloan and Gertrude Claire.
He is survived by: his spouse Dorothy Burchell; and his children, George (Nina), Robert (Janice), Spencerville, Lynda Gunnell (Brian) of Russell, Laura Wilson (John), Lisa McTaggart (Dale) of Sarnia and Lana Haw (Chris) of Stirling. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
