He was predeceased by: his stepson Randy Simzer; his siblings, Angus, Daniel, Joseph, Patrick and Susan; and his nephew Dale.

He is survived by: his spouse Janice Roode of Cardinal; his stepchildren, Tony Simzer (Vicky) and Jeff Simzer (Tracey); and his sister Ann Bradford. He is also survived by several grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Donations to the OSPCA would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
