It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alban Baird Knechtel (Cardinal, Ontario), born in Hanover, Ontario, who passed away on May 29, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bernice Knechtel and Alban Patrick Knechtel; his stepsiblings, Kathryn (Lorne Helwig), John (Norma Jean), Richard (Janet) and Stephen (Dawn); his wife Maria Eugenia Kohut; his children, Anastasia (Ian Silver), Barbara (John Wilds) and Karl; and his grandchildren, Tamarin, Kassandra, Camille and Theodore.
