He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellwood Dowdell and Florence Dowdell; and his sister Betty Ellis (Reg). He is survived by: his siblings, Margaret Wright of Edmonton, Nancy Ellis, William 'Bill' (Josie) of Kamloops, B. C., Judy Faragher (Doug), Jack (Connie), Arlene Phillips (Art) and James (Keri). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
