He was predeceased by: his wife Edna; his parents, James and Florence; his siblings, Mary, Margaret, Richard and Michael; and his sons, Richard (Margo) and Paul.

He is survived by: his children, James (Joanne) of Hastings, Brian (Catherine) of Gooderham, Keith of Brighton, Barbara (Stephen) of Codrington and Rose of Madoc; his grandchildren, Jeffrey (Rachel), Karen, Katherine (Matt), Brianne (Jason), Matthew, Julie, Jenny, Megan (Russell), Tyler, Erik and Samantha; his sisters, Jennifer and Maureen; and his sisters-in-law, Pamela and Eve. He is also survived by his many great-grandchildren.
