He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; his close friend Barbara Jeffs; his grandson Michael Bouchier; and his siblings, Edgar, Douglas, Dorothy and Malcolm.

He is survived by: his children, Don, Dennis (Janice) and Janet Bouchier (Mark); his grandchildren, Kate (Jason), Brent (Adrianna), Ian (Sara), Craig (Katie), Emily (Mike), Philip (Charlotte), Christopher, Robert (Irina) and James (Christa); his great grandchildren, Morgan, Claire, Henry, Carter, Jacob, Amelia, Ethan, Aliyah, Isaac and Rosalie; and his brother Murray.
