She was predeceased by: her parents, David Filson and Mary Filson; her siblings, Janet Bews (Jack), Grant Filson (May), Edward Filson, Colin Filson and Ralph; and her sister-in-law Gerry Rutherford.

She is survived by: her husband Alec Rutherford; her sons, David of Burlington and Paul of Toronto; and her grandchildren, Travis and Chase Rutherford. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
