He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Copperthwaite and Jean Copperthwaite; and his siblings, Bob "Diesel", Ted and Donnie "Ducky".

He is survived by: his wife Patsy; his children, Allison Ferrill and Paul Copperthwaite; his grandchildren, Angie Mansbridge (Aaron), Paige and Tai Copperthwaite; his children, Lillian, Callan, Arlo and Ace; his pet Bree; and his grandson Lee.
