He was predeceased by: his wife Eve; his parents, Peter McEwen and Jean McEwen; his siblings, Charles McEwen and Elizabeth Fraser; and his former wife Gloria Welch.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael McEwen (Douglas Payne) and David McEwen (Carol); his stepchildren, Mark Stephenson (Sharon) and Rhonda Lee Read (Tony); his grandchildren, Craig McEwen (Stephanie) and Heather Carvalho (David); his great grandchildren, Keira, Kate, Emily McEwen, Raya and Ayla Carvalho; his stepgrandchildren, Greg Stephenson (Krystle), Kristy Morrison (Mike), Jayme Stephenson-Hanson (Andre), Martine Read (Andy Vines), Charlie Read (Megan), Michael Payne (Jennifer Ninni), Andrew Payne (Misha) and Nick Reford; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Fiona, Lucy, Rachel Stephenson, Peyton, McKenna Morrison, Elijah, Eloise Stephenson-Hanson and Otis Read-Vines; and his great great grandchild Jaxon Morrison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the current pandemic restrictions, a private funeral will be attended by his closest relatives.
