Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mauricio Armas Gomes (Cambridge, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 83, on February 27, 2025. As we bid adieu to Mauricio's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Mauricio has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Donatilia; his grandson Krishan; his siblings, Alvaro, Jose Maria, Cristiano and Lourdes Gomes; and his brother-in-law Heliodoro Camara.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lounsbury Funeral Home (1766 Franklin Blvd, Cambridge, ON N3C1N8). A Mass will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary of the Visitation Parish (16 Cooper St, Cambridge, ON N3C2N2). A burial will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at the New Hope Cemetery (235 Cooper St, Cambridge, ON N3C2J9).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Lisaard House Hospice in Mauricio's memory, in appreciation of the exceptional care they provided him.
