Matthew Alex Rego Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 2, 2025, at the age of 33, Matthew Alex Rego of Cambridge, Ontario passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Matthew Alex Rego to pay them a last tribute.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Matthew Alex shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Matthew Alex farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He is survived by: his children, Katalina and Evan Rego; his parents, Eddie Rego and Melissa Rego; his brother Michael (Izzy); his grandmothers, Linda (Eugene) and Maria Rego (Antonio); and his uncle Mike. He is also survived by his maternal grandfather, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Barthel Funeral Home (566 Queenston Rd, Cambridge, ON N3H3J8). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
