He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ema Maria Pires Fagundes; his daughters, Lily Fagundes, Paula DaCosta (Ernie) and Ana Ripley; his grandchildren, Nicole McIntyre (Clay), Matthew Ripley (Selina), Jessica Hobin (Jeffrey), Dylan DaCosta (Taylor), Lauren Ripley (Chris) and Jordan DaCosta; his great grandchildren, Rosa, Aubree McIntyre, Frieda, Lillemor, Filomena Ripley, Bennett, Rayna Stevens and Arabella DaCosta; and also Filomena Melo. He was also cherished by his parents, brothers and sisters, in laws as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Coutts Funeral Home (96 St Andrews St, Cambridge, ON N1S1M8). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A procession was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the New Hope Cemetery (235 Cooper St, Cambridge, ON N3C2P1).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Innisfree House, in honor of his wife Ema, who passed away there in 2018 or Alzheimer Society to help those who are battling with this disease.
