With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Irena Schrupp (Cambridge, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Irena had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Irena may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Carl; her parents, Vladimir Komar and Christine Komar; and her nephew Andrew Brode. She is survived by: her sisters, Oksana Brode (Uwe) and Lutz Brode (Michale); her niece Samantha Brode; and her cousin Lida Artymyshyn (Vlodko). She is also survived by 2 children and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Lounsbury Funeral Home (1766 Franklin Blvd, Cambridge, ON N3C1N8). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the New Hope Cemetery (235 Cooper St, Cambridge, ON N3C2J9).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
