She was predeceased by: her husband Richard (Dick); her mother Mary; her brother Bob; and her daughter Gale DeGroot. She is survived by: her children, Beverly, Susan (Ray), John and Douglas (Liz); her grandchildren, Kenneth, Patricia, Joseph, Marie, Emily, Annette, Richard, Samantha, Robert, Peter, Jennifer and Katelyin; her stepgrandchildren, Jaime, Josh and Mark; and her sisters, Margaret (late Dell), Jean (late Fred) and Joyce.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hespeler Legion Ladies Auxiliary (cheques made payable to the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxilary) where Helen devoted so much time.
