He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Spence and Ethel Spence; his wife Elizabeth Rose; his siblings, John and Ethel; and his daughter-in-law Karen.

He is survived by: his sibling Barabara; his children, Graham Spence and Carol Bird (Gordon); his grandchildren, Charlene (Ted), Ryan, Nicholas (Nicole), Ashley (Adam) and Katie (Bryan); and his great grandchildren, Amelia, Alice, George, Leah, Addie, Kayden, Ava, Rachel, Madison, Colton and Auston.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Apostolic Church (10 Birkinshaw Rd, Cambridge, ON N1P0A7).
