He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Mallette; his parents, George Rowland and Thelma Jean Candler; his siblings, Douglas Joan and Carolyn; and his brother-in-law Joe Harvey.

He is survived by: his children, Rowland and Lori Hickman (Gerry); his grandchildren, Ashton Yeck (Jamie Harth) and Madelyne Yeck (Jake Quattrochi); and his sister BettyAnn Clark. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
