It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sophie Elgersman (Caledonia, Ontario), who passed away on December 26, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Heert Mantel and Lina Mantel; her siblings, Peter Mantel (Shirley), George Mantel (Sadie), Bill Mantel (Mary) and Nellie Andree (Louie); and her husband Fred Elgersman.

She is survived by: her siblings, Karl Mantel (Ann), Lena Sluys (Ted) and John Mantel (Wilma); and her children, Bill Elgersman, Lynn Widdup (Chuck), Randy Elgersman (Alice), Joanne Hogeterp (Peter), Steve Elgersman, Pete Elgersman (Diane), Janice Elgersman (Mike Christensen), Sophie Otterman (Tim), Maureen Elgersman Lee (Christopher), Carl Elgersman (Sharon), John Elgersman (Laura) and Teresa Elgersman.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church, Jarvis, in memory of Sophie Elgersman.
