He was predeceased by: his father-in-law John DeGroot; and his parents, Ted Vanderwal and Margaret Vanderwal. He is survived by: his wife Pauline Vanderwal (DeGroot); his children, Nicole, Brandon and Jenn; his siblings-in-law, Trish Jewell, Caroline, Henry van Doorn, Marilyn and Andy Miedema; his parent-in-law Corrie DeGroot; and his siblings, Bob and Terry Vanderwal.
