She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Shannon and Dorothy Shannon; her husband Bill Johnston; her daughters, Susan Bontaine and Lori Shields (Gord); her grandchildren, Adam Bontaine (Trisha), Tyler Dren (Michaela), Andrea Lawrence (Ryan) and Kyle Dren (Adrienne); her sister Dianne Martin (Bob); and her sisters-in-law, Janet Johnston (Glen) and Mary-Lou Johnston (Eric).
A burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Cayuga Riverside Cemetery.
