“Continued....Darcie traded an Alpaca sweater to brother Rod in return for the scarf and he would wear it every winter while he walked his dogs. He was wearing it in Canmore during the 1988 Olympic games when a European offered him $1000.00 for it. Rod refused the offer and when he died in 2014 his family gave it to me . [email protected]

Tom Love wrote a sympathy message

“I met Darcie through mutual friends when she was 16 and I was 17 and for the next few years carried on a long-distance relationship due to the fact she lived in Edmonton and I lived in Regina. I hadn't seen her or heard from her in almost 50 years when I reconnected with her through the internet and we corresponded from time to time catching up with our lives apart. I was reminded of Darcie every time I saw my brother wearing a Cdn. flag scarf that she knitted as a centennial project in 1967.”
