He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Clyde and Clarissa Collier; his brothers, Charles Collier (Jean), Knowlton Collier and Chesley Collier; his parents-in-law, Harold Thompson and Jean Thompson (Ferris); and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Phelps, Paul Phelps, Sylvia Hambly, Ruth Desroche (Al) and John Major.
He is survived by: his wife Doreen Jean Collier; his children, Deborah Bell (Mark) and Douglas Collier (Crystal); his grandchildren, Allison Bell (John), Jake Collier and Nicole Collier; his stepgrandchildren, Alyssa Hardy and Cam Hardy; his siblings, Nina Guinane (John) and Edward Collier (Roanne) of Yarmouth, NS.; and his sister-in-law Fern Collier (late Chesley).
After having cancer three times, Bill survived an additional 22 years, then passed away from complications of Alzheimer's Disease.
