He was predeceased by: his brothers, Joe and Gary; and his brother-in-law John Fraser. He is survived by: his children, Scott McCarthy (Helen) of Stratford, PEI and Tracy McCarthy (Bryan Tippin) of Hamilton, ON.; his grandchildren, Jill Chapman, Steve Chapman, Caitlin McCarthy and Maeve McCarthy; his sibling Jim (Kathie); and his siblings-in-law, Marian Gould-Chapman, Pat Fraser and Janet (Jim Scott).
