He was predeceased by: his children, Colleen Kay and Marcia Collver; and his parents, Stanley Kay and Mary Kay. He is survived by: his spouse Elaine Kay; his child Bryan Kay (Meaghan); his grandchild Alexa; his siblings, Linda Martin (Dale) and Norman Kay (Edna); and his siblings-in-law, Diane Proietti (late James), Jacqueline Flynn (Paul), Robert Dean and Darlene Spray (Jim). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ron to ALS Society and Diabetes Canada would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
