It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert James Root in Burlington, Ontario, born in Stratford, Ontario, who passed away on May 17, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his significant other Kathy; and also Elizabeth (Robert Ferguson). He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Ferguson, Kathy Ferguson (Gerry Murphy) and Susan Ferguson (Alex Stappas); and his great-nephews, Sean and Oliver Stappas.

Robert was predeceased by his beloved Kathy, who left this world right before the pandemic hit, and Kathy's sister Elizabeth (Robert Ferguson).
