He was predeceased by: his spouse Elva; and his siblings, Marjorie Shakespeare, Kathleen "Cassie" Thomson, Bill Thomson and Donald "Pete" Thomson.

He is survived by: his son Rick (Mary); his grandchildren, Lindsey (CJ) and Jennifer; and his siblings, Margaret "Teen" Syvret, Chic Thomson and Dorothy Thomson (Karen Marcoux).
