He is survived by: his children, Carol, Joanne, Margaret (Colin), Janet (Howard) and Jim (Thais); his grandchildren, Carrie (Regis), Amanda (Ray), Hugh, Jillian (Lawrence), Patrick (Heather), Douglas (Brittany), Erin (Michael) and James (Julia); his sister-in-law Marion Avery; and his cousins, Catherine Fahey Armstrong and Joseph Fahey (Eleanor).
