She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald Courneya and Luella Courneya; her husband John "Jack" Gemmell; and her sister Laurie Spratt. She is survived by: her siblings, Ron Courneyea (Deanna) of Port Elgin, Cecil "Cec" Courneyea (Mary) of Belleville, Bradley Courneyea (Lorna) of Ameliasburg and Brenda Leitch (Alex) of Belleville; and her brother-in-law Bill Gemmell (Kristine) of Burlington. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and many friends.
