He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Shri Dwarika Prasad and Shrimati Chanda Devi Bhargava; his siblings, Satya Prakash and Kusum; his wife Shiela; his children, Rajeev (Nalini), Manisha (Tejay), Rita (Pravin) and Sunita (Sandeep); his grandchildren, Soniya (Anand), Varun (Denoja), Shivani (Andy), Monika, Sachin (Fiona), Isha, Nisha, Priya (Rohan) and Rishi (Abina); and his great grandchildren, Hugo, Corinna and Henri Om.
