She was predeceased by: her parents, Michelina Vella (Debono) and Thomas Vella; her sisters, Carmela, Annie, Jean and Audrey; and her granddaughter Melanie Ruesgen.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph G. Zammit; her brother Joseph Vella; her children, Rita (George), Joanne (Burt), Tom (Joan), Teresa (Pam) and Cathy (Raul); her grandchildren, Jason, Amanda (Aidan), Ryan (Dina), Melissa (Adam), Elise (Jonathan), Kaitlyn (Brennan), Christopher (Catherine), Stephanie (Steven) and Matthew (Alyssa); and her great grandchildren, Nicole, Carter, Ashleigh, Keira, Jordan, Brendan, Caleb, Noah, Grayson, Hayden, Francesco, Skylar, Salara, Sullivan, Madelyn and Emily.
