He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Gilbert and Sheila Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Caroline Gilbert; his children, Brittany Burnell (Jack) of Hamilton and Eric Gilbert (Abbey) of Burlington; his grandson Oliver; and his sister Lorraine Ainslie (Brian) of New Brunswick. He is also survived by his extended family and friends.
