She was predeceased by: her mother Maria Bettencourt of Joseph's Hospital; her husband Manuel Alves Bettencourt; her son Emanuel; her granddaughter Jaclyn Marie Aguiar; her brothers, Serafim (Almirinda), Jose (Henriequeta), Manuel and Gabriel (Aceliadora); and her mother Avó.
She is survived by: her brother Agostinho (Maria); her sister-in-law Dorothy Alexandre; her children, Octavio (Carol), Odelcia (Mario Aguiar), Nelson and Jerry (Vickie); and her grandchildren, David, Jenna, Jamie (Dylan Rooney), Daren Bettencourt, Eric, Deanna (Teresa Nieto), Kevin Aguiar, Nicholas and Madison Bettencourt. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bay Gardens Funeral Home (947 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L8W3M2). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Margaret Mary Church (20 Idlewood Ave, Hamilton, ON L8T1V9). A burial will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery (600 Spring Gardens Rd, Burlington, ON L7T1J1).
