He was predeceased by: his wife Viola; his parents, John Gear and Ena Gear; his sister Louise; and his niece Marilyn.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra (Paul Christianson) and Ray (Debby); his grandsons, Justin and Dominic; and his nieces and nephews, Kathy, Shelley and Nancy.
