“When I had a co-op placement while attending St. Joe's High School I was placed at the Barrie Advance. It was one of the most amazing experiences I ever had and one of the most awesome people I met was Editor-in-Chief, John Devine. I continued to write articles for the Advance and the Collingwood-Wasaga Connection for many years and John was a major part of the reason I wanted to keep writing. When I moved back to Barrie 2 years ago I saw him again and he was still great. He will be missed!”
