He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Scott and Jessie Scott (Doig); his wife Margaret Campbell; his son-in-law John Hildenbrand; and his brothers-in-law, Jim McGuigan, Fred Aldworth, Bruce Campbell and Don Hart.
He is survived by: his children, James Brian Scott, Pamela Hildenbrand (late John) and Deborah Steager (Tim); his grandchildren, Peter Scott, Laura Lemma (Greg), Jason Hildenbrand (Jenny), Jessica Hildenbrand, Blair Steager (Caitlin), Jared Steager (Stacy Statema) and Heather Steager; his great grandchildren, Madeleine Lemma, Amelia Lemma, John Hildenbrand, Jackson Hildenbrand, Jill Hildenbrand, Ethan Banks and Liliana Steager; his sisters, Mona McGuigan and Sheila Aldworth; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Hart. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
