He was predeceased by: his sister Betty Flaherty. He is survived by: his wife Pearl; his daughter Pamela Spriggs; his grandsons, Tyler (Nicole) and Kyle (Kate); his siblings, Gwen Cochrane (late Sam) and Bill Hanson (Cathy); and his brother-in-law Gerry Flaherty. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
