She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard Berlinguette; and her siblings, Vince Barnett and Catherine Shephard. She is survived by: her children, Mary Margaret "Maggie" (Jack), Paul (Fiona), Michael (Joy), Kathy and Susan; and her grandchildren, Adam Cooper, Shannon Cooper (Laura Toombs), Riley, Sean, Heather Perks, Spencer Jones and Claire Jones.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helen to the Dorothy Ley Hospice - as Helen supported the palliative journey.
