He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Haywood and Edith Haywood; and his siblings, Weldon Haywood, Jean Haywood and Alice Ploom.

He is survived by: his wife Elsie Martin; his grandchildren, Jayne, Lynda and Leslie; his children, Ray Haywood (Sandra) of Christopher Lake, SK, Jayne Haywood of Hay River, NWT, Lynda Gordon and Leslie Haywood of Burlington, ON; and his sister Joan Morgan of Jacksonville, NB..

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a Private Funeral Service and Interment be held at Bronte Cemetery.
