He was predeceased by: his parents, George Barbu and Jean Barbu; and the mother of his children Anne Barbu. He is survived by: his daughters, Danielle Barbu and Shelley Madison; his siblings, Betty-Anne and Al Dennis; his nephews, Robert and Sam; his niece Carla Dennis; and his aunt Emily.
In lieu of flowers and to honour his love of dogs, donations can be made to the Ontario SPCA, where he adopted his rescue dog Hank.
