He was predeceased by: his brothers, Gino Filice (late Lina) and Mario Filice (Rita). He is survived by: his wife Serafina Filice (Nella); his children, John (Denise), Susy (Nick) and Nadia (Adamo); his grandchildren, Vito, Daniel, Marco, Sophia, Matteo, Gabriel and Avisia; and his siblings, Anna Filice (late Alfredo), Maria Pascuzzo (late Umberto), Rita Mauro (late Raffaele), Ada Dunatov (late Raimondo Aceti), Lucia Finelli (late Joe), Carmine Filice (late Ernesta), Antonio Filice and Rosa Pillucci (Antonio). He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Friscolanti Funeral Chapel (43 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON L8L2V7). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Church (165 Prospect St N, Hamilton, ON L8L6X8). A burial was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery (600 Spring Gardens Rd, Burlington, ON L7T1J1).
