He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvira Dabbs and Williams Dabbs; and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Tara Carruthers (Bryce) of Burlington and Scott Dabbs (Cindy) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Brett, Dylan Carruthers, Natasha Dabbs and Kaity Bailey (Mitch); and his great grandchild Ashlynn.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gene to the Alzheimer Society of Burlington or a charity of choice would be sincerely appreciated.
