He was predeceased by: his wife Phoolwasi Devi Singh. He is survived by: his children, Nirmala Rao (Subhash Rao), Jai Prakash Singh (Vandana Singh), Manju Singh (Virender Singh), Ved Prakash Singh (Sarla Singh), Asha Singh (Sushil Raghuvanshi) and Satya Prakash Singh (Ramanpreet Singh). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and three great- grandchildren and other extended family.
